Joan Auld Scholarship
A scholarship valued at a minimum of $200, is available to a student undertaking
full-time studies in a craft-related field at a recognized institution of applied art,
craft and design. In order to be eligible for this Scholarship, the student
must demonstrate high school graduation or equivalence (ie., must meet the
requirements
for entrance into a college program).
Criteria: Applicants must be Canadian citizens and have been a resident of
P.E.I. for at least the 6 months prior to application.
Submissions should include as a minimum:

An outline of the proposed course of study and the name of the institution where you
will be attending classes.

An essay (half page to one page written, or present a video or audio cassette) telling
us why you wish to become a crafts person, your background, interests, aims, ambitions
- tell us about yourself/
And could include any of the following:

Letters of reference (e.g., teachers, previous employers, etc)

A portfolio demonstrating previous work, samples of craft-related work, sketches,
video or pictures.
Application must include written verification of acceptance in the program in
question.
Application deadline is May 30th.
Cheques will be issued, payable to both the recipient and the institution.
