Our Annual Events

July Gala Dinner Fundraiser

This fun-filled evening event featuring good food, music, and a silent auction is held annually in order to raise ongoing administrative and operating funds for the Community Foundation to do its community work.  The CFPEI Board and staff are grateful to all who coordinate and volunteer at this event, purchase tickets and attend the Gala, and silent auction contributors and buyers.

100_0079140 CFPEI supporters purchased tickets and auction items at this year’s fundraiser event that raises funds for operations and overhead. We are grateful to all who attended and shared the delicious food, good music by John Rehder and Chris Gauthier, supported the grand prize promotion, and competed in the fun putting contest.

We all appreciated the moving scholarship testimonial by Stephanie Doull, recipient of the 2014 and 2015 George and Noreen Corrigan Single Mother Scholarship Award100_0174, and stirring presentation by Valerie Docherty, Chair of the Family Violence Prevention Services of PEI Committee. Valerie shared news of the new five-year strategy that aims to raise $1 million dollars for family violence prevention and education initiatives.

CFPEI is pleased that FVPS chose to endow the funds raised with the Foundation and we look forward to helping Valerie and her team meet it’s important objectives.
