Applications are now being accepted at the Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island (CFPEI) for more than twenty-five community granting funds and scholarships. This year, the Foundation will be awarding more than $300,000 to deserving Island students and organizations.
Scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 dollars and representing a wide range of criteria are open to students graduating from Island high schools this year as well as some which are open to students presently studying at a post-secondary institution.
Grants addressing a wide range of causes that benefit Island communities are available to PEI-based, non-profit organizations with registered charitable status.
A description of all grants and scholarships as well as application forms can be found on the Foundation’s website at www.cfpei.ca. Applications can be submitted online, by email to [email protected] or in person at 119 Queen Street by 4pm on Thursday, May 31st.
Now in its 25th year, CFPEI distributes funds to all corners of the community in arts and culture, education, health, social services and the environment. The Foundation currently manages over seventy funds with a combined value approaching ten million dollars and works with its donors to realize their philanthropic goals, matching their interests with the needs of the community. In 2017, more than $500,000 was awarded to students and organizations through the Community Foundation.
