PEI Chase the Ace Online Lottery!

Two well-known Island charities are teaming up to raise funds for charitable causes! The Community Foundation of PEI and the Rotary Club of Charlottetown are combining efforts in the PEI Chase the Ace Online Lottery! The PEI Chase-the-Ace Online Lottery is a 100 per cent online progressive jackpot, multiple-draw, bi-weekly raffle.

“The PEI Chase the Ace Online Lottery has been operating for several months, but this new partnership should help strengthen the marketing efforts”, said CFPEI President Jonathan Ross. “Having two separate charities working together to will help broaden our reach to a wider audience. In addition, the regular bi-weekly draws will now be made live, every second Tuesday during Rotary Club of Charlottetown’s Radio Bingo”, he added.

“The Rotary Club of Charlottetown is very excited to partner with the Community Foundation of PEI on this project”, stated President Regan Lewis. “We hope to work together to increase the weekly and progressive jackpot to build great excitement for Islanders who wish to participate, all while supporting two charities wanting to put money back into our communities”, he added.

The bi-weekly prize is valued at 20% of ticket sales collected during the specific two-week period of each draw. The Chase the Ace Progressive Jackpot is valued at 30% of all ticket sales collected over the course of the multi-week campaign.

The CFPEI and Rotary Club of Charlottetown announced that 50% of proceeds will be dispersed by CFPEI through the establishment of a COVID-19 Community Impact Fund to registered charities and qualified organizations whose work helps provide relief for those whose lives have in some way been impacted by the coronavirus. The remaining 50% of proceeds will be dispersed by the Rotary Club of Charlottetown in support of their charitable granting.

Islanders can purchase tickets online at www.chasetheacepei.ca. Ticket packages include: 10 tickets for $10, 30 tickets for $20, 100 tickets for $50 or 250 tickets for $100. The next draw will be held on Tuesday, February 16th during Rotary Radio Bingo on CFCY 95.1 FM, the Island’s country music station, live between 7:00-8:00pm. Subsequent draws will be made every second Tuesday at the same time until the jackpot is won.

After selecting the ticket package, the purchaser will select a virtual envelope they think may contain the Ace of Spades. If their ticket is chosen, the winner will receive 20% of that week’s ticket sales – and if the card in the envelope is the Ace of Spades, they will also win the Chase the Ace Progressive Jackpot. If the card is not the Ace of Spades, the progressive jackpot grows and that card is removed from the deck, increasing the chances of catching the ace next week. Weekly draws continue until the Ace of Spades is found and the Progressive Jackpot is won!

The Weekly Raffle winning ticket number will be selected by a random number generation system from all raffle numbers sold for that Weekly Raffle. Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older at the time of purchase and must be located in the Province of Prince Edward Island at time of purchase.

“Chase the Ace lotteries are very popular, and we want to give people an opportunity to participate in a fully online option,” said Executive Director Kent Hudson. “For those who can afford to play, they can rest assured that all monies raised will be returned to worthy recipients across all of Prince Edward Island.”

Tickets can now be purchased at www.chasetheacepei.ca. Good luck!
