In 2013, Charlottetown business woman Noreen Corrigan created a scholarship on behalf of she and her husband George. The Noreen and George Corrigan – Sing Mother scholarship is awarded to a single mother who is enrolled in and/or attending a post-secondary school. This year’s estimated award is approximately $1,720 and will be awarded to a student that has:
- Demonstrated financial need;
- Is a PEI high school graduate or equivalent who is between the ages of 18 and 30 years old;
- Is enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary school;
- Is a single mother not in a common law relationship.
