The Christian Gavard Memorial Fund was established by Claude and Crystal Gavard to honour the life of Christian Gavard. An original agreement was signed on May 4, 2012, however the fund advisors (Crystal and Claude Gavard) wish to make changes to the agreement and change the focus of the granting vision. As such, this new agreement will supersede the original from this point forward.
Christian Gavard was a loving husband, brother, son, friend, teacher, musician, actor, and producer. He graduated from Bluefield High School in Prince Edward Island and went on to a successful career in the performing arts. As a singer, saxophonist, and drummer in several bands, as well as an excellent actor in theatre and on television. Christian motivated and encouraged numerous friends and colleagues in the pursuit of their artistic goals. He later worked as a teacher at Laurier MacDonald High School in Montreal, Quebec and through his dedication and genuine interest in each individual, he inspired a great number of students to pursue their dreams.
The Christian Gavard Memorial Fund will provide a grant amount to cover the cost of admissions to Island Rock Camp to four applicants who best meet the following criteria and will be identified by their school:
-
